Jack Kurtz
Jack Kurtz founded Fortuitas based on a vision to provide high quality solutions and outstanding customer service. In this day and age, he feels that these basic values have been lost to the fast-paced world of technology and business, and that clients deserve something more.
Jack has worked in the software business since 1994, and has functioned at the senior and executive management levels for 5 different consulting firms. He also worked as Vice President of Engineering for Move, Inc. (formerly Homestore), a publicly traded dot com focused on real estate solutions online, including realtor.com, move.com and many other real estate related online services.
Prior to becoming an executive in the industry, Jack gained a wealth of experience as a software developer and architect, project manager, database architect and database administrator. He has worked with technologies from Microsoft, Oracle, Sun Microsystems, IBM and Apple.
Over the years, Jack has also been a well-known public speaker and software instructor in Southern California. He taught object-oriented game programming at the American Film Institute, and taught graduate school at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). He was a featured speaker at the University of Southern California (USC) and the Directors Guild of America. In addition, he was a contributing writer for “The Macintosh Bible, 6th Edition”.
When Jack is not busy working at Fortuitas, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing drums and piano, and meditating.
